The second annual River Valley Tour of artists’ work places in Chester, Essex and Deep River is Sept. 21 and 22 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. This year, there will be concurrent show at the Essex Art Association Gallery, 10 North Main St., with an opening party there Friday, Sept. 20 from 5 to 7 p.m.
You will see a wide variety of work from abstract, three-dimensional cut paper wall art to traditional oil painted landscapes and an equally divergent examples of workplaces – from kitchen tables to well-appointed studios overlooking the Connecticut River.
There are 42 artists involved this year – most on the tour and the rest showing in the association gallery.
